Software freeze (Not Responding)

Every time I use to Rekordbox software, it always freezes and doesn't respond. I have a brand new laptop that I only use for djing. I can't practice using my controller nor can I record a mix due to the window constantly freezing and "not responding". I need help to resolve this issue.
 
I need help identifying what is making my new laptop freeze and not respond while using Rekordbox.

Hey @djstryde , welcome to Sysnative.

Are you experiencing the issue with any other software, or just rekordbox?

If the issue is just occuring with rekordbox, it may be a bug specific to their software. You could try their support team directly as well, or use their community forum for suggestions.

Was this from a community forum post, or from a support ticket?

We can try and help, but I still suspect the issue lies with the software if you're only using rekordbox.
 
Went back 4 weeks and couldn't find your post in their forum. Please post link to the thread so we can see what was recommended to avoid duplication.
 
I had a service ticket for Pioneer and they said to post my issue on here. My original post is on this thread

This is what they told me to post. My laptop freezes as soon as I start using it. I can't even make a Playlist without it freezing and have to shut it down. This has been happening ever since I purchased this controller, but worked better on my 7 year old laptop. Now I'm using a really good laptop and I'm having more issues than before.

The only caveat I saw from Pioneer was that Rekordbox doesn't work well on battery power. What they sent you doesn't really help. Perhaps they meant this forum: RekordboxDJ
 
Rekordbox is probably not the only software installed - Windows comes with a bunch of pre-installed software, and depending on where you bought the system there may be other software that came pre-installed (AV software very commonly).

If you run the logging tools we can take a deeper look, but if you'd prefer not to probably the best we can do is advise you to reinstall Windows, make sure any drivers and BIOS are up to date, and see if that resolves it.

Windows was just removed and reinstalled
