Hi again. We had several hours of a local power-out/power-cut, so could not go online, before now.
I'm at the moment connected with ethernet cable, not wifi since I removed wires from it, maybe I should have removed the card completely?
I hope we can get to find the issue that prevented this Acer laptop from upgrading, because some of these deleted programs and drivers, I later might have to reinstall, and I might get same issues for future upgrades again. Hope we can pinpoint the exact problems that created the upgrade error.
There are a limited amount of updatable drivers for this particular Laptop..since it, by Acer is considered old and they do not support updates anymore. So if there are sudden.. display, bios, or Wifi, driver problems and down to Microsoft having changed tack with, ver. 1903 and up, regarding the support for older drivers ...I'm stuck.
This particular laptop was not supported from Acer to upgrade to Win 10 (Don't know Why? There is no explanation from Acer). But Upgrading to win 10 from Microsoft was recommended, accepted, and pushed. And as explained earlier has been working fine up until now.
I'm just trying to give you as much tech-history about this as I can and I'm aware of. Don't know if useful, but there you go.
I will uninstall the applications you suggested.
