Well, since Internet Explorer 11 is installed, unless you have any issues with: Windows Updates, SFC, DISM, SURT, etc. then we are done here :) I think your other issues are related to Microsoft Office 2007, no?
Hi Aura,
Well, firstly, thanks so much for your patient help. I learned a few things, not the least of which is that Microsoft
does have some tools that can help, but boy...are they tough to find! Secondly, thanks to all of you here at Sysnative...for creating this site and providing competent, meaningful and free-of-charge help. A special kudos to niemiro for creating and making available SFCFix.exe. I certainly hope to remember how to properly use it, should I need to.
Thirdly, I'll just have to see whatever issues I listed in this post diminish or completely go away. That, of course, will simply take time.
I have acquired, interestingly, a new "feature," that being the appearance of a NETIO.sys BSOD. I think it's related to my nVidia card, and so I've installed various driver versions. The BSOD will stop appear very suddenly, as is always the case, for sure.
Finally, I don't think the issues I've been having are related to Outlook. I say that because the performance degradation was systemic. And while I certainly wouldn't write-off the possibility, I think that given how well the system appears to be performing now, a reinstall of Outlook isn't on the immediate horizon. But, who's to say?
I'll quit yapping, Aura, and thank you again for your kind, patient and competent assistance. Y'all enjoy your weekend!
