Hello there,

I am new here and I hope my post is in the right place. If not, I apologise in advance.

I have some issues with my Windows 10 Pro OS. So far, there are few problems I am facing and they are as follows: (For now)

1: When I put my PC into sleep mode, every time, the PC auto wakes up at 2:00 am and at 1:00 pm (UK time)

2: Recently I tried to run SFC /Scannow but the scan stops at 62% and gives the following error message:

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 62% complete.

Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

I also ran SFCFix and attached both SFC and SFCFix Logs.

3: Since Windows 10 Anniversary Update, I tried many times to update my Windows via ISO (download the correct ISO) about a month ago, I wasn't been able to update the Windows.
The update runs fine up until very last stage and at 91% my PC restarts and then shows Restoring Your Previous Version of Windows.
Then restarts back and boot normally but with no update and there is no error log or anything. After every try, I encounter the same issue.

I left it without update and thinking there might issue with updating through ISO but, yesterday I decided to check for Update in the Windows Settings and noticed I finally received the Anniversary Update and let download and install but then again everything went fine up until the last stage and encountered exact same issue! Of course, I did search about the issue and found some suggestions to try disconnecting HHDs and run the update again.
I did disconnect HHDs and only left my SSDs (in Raid 0) but guess what happened. Yes, that's correct, the exact same issue of 91%! This time, I was seriously like #$@&%*! #$@&%*! #$@&%*! :banghead: :noidea:

Excuse my madness, please.

Could you kind people here help me sort at least these issues for now? I would greatly appreciate it and sorry for my long story.

Hi vblack ... and welcome to the forums ...

For your sleep/wake issue, I imagine that a look at scheduled tasks might show what is causing the early morning waking. I don't have to deal with Task Scheduler often, but I remember that I never enjoy having to look in there much (the navigation seems so awkward!). There is probably a way to coax it to display all scheduled tasks for a particular time .... but I didn't notice it on my quick look in there a few minutes ago. You could have a look in its Help files (I'll take a look, too, sometime tomorrow if I get some free time) and see if that sorted view is manageable or not. There is also a third-party tool by NirSoft that I noticed (but haven't tried ... though I have tried other utilities by NirSoft in the past [like BlueScreenView] which I thought were fairly good). The NirSoft viewing utility for Task Scheduler is called TaskSchedulerView (they do have nice simple titles, don't they!) ... and looks to be well-reviewed, and compatible with Windows 10. For your other issues with the System File Checker and such, I'd recommend posting that issue in our Windows Update forum -- where we have techs who specialize in using the sfcFix tool (the techs receive special training for the program, as it is best used only under their supervision, as it is a tool meant mainly for customized use for each individual system). Post the SFC logs there, they'll be able to give you the best analysis. https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-update/

Best of luck!

Thank you very much for your instructions OldGrayGray. it is much really appreciated. :smile9:
