I am not able to enable readyboost in my windows pc. I tried going to services and starting sysmain but that didn't do anything. Also I tried going to cmd prompt (elevated) typed the following commands:
sc config rdyboost start= boot
sc start rdyboost
In short nothing worked. I figure that perhaps rdyboost.sys is corrupt for which I can't replace since I don't have a win 10 installation media. This PC was a free of charge upgrade of win 7 to win 10 that was done back in DEC 19/Jan 20.
