A brief description of your problem (but you can also include the steps you tried)

My pc blue screens with a page_fault_in_nonpaged_area message when I plug in my Sceptre monitor. My main monitor (MSI g271) works fine and is using the display port on my GPU.

The Sceptre monitor works fine on a different device (using the same HDMI cable). I've also plugged in my main monitor to the HDMI port on my GPU and that has also worked. The blue screen only occurs when I plug in my Sceptre monitor to the GPU.

Things I have tried:

DDU and reinstalling GPU drivers
Reseating GPU and replugging in the power cables. Reseating RAM.
Rolling back to earlier drivers. Installing newer drivers. (for GPU).
Booting PC with the Sceptre monitor plugged in. Results in multiple reboots with an attempt to system restore. System restore doesn't work.
Ran SFC, DISM. Nothing fixed.
Plugging in the Sceptre monitor in Safe mode. Doesn't crash but nothing is detected either in Display Settings.
Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic.
Using a different monitor with the same HDMI cable connected to the GPU. Worked fine.
Connecting only the Sceptre Monitor. Results in the same crash.
Booting into Windows with Sceptre Monitor connected. Results with my Main monitor being on but with a blank screen, and the Sceptre monitor remaining off.
Running Windows into a Clean boot. Same result as above.

System Manufacturer? - Prebuilt
Laptop or Desktop? - Desktop
OS ? (Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista) - Windows 10
x86 (32bit) or x64 (64bit)? - 64bit
What was original installed OS on system? - Windows 10
Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)? - I installed Windows 10 on the system.
Age of system? (hardware) - Pc components are 2 years old. Sceptre monitor is older (4 years).
Have you re-installed the OS? - Yes, is a fresh install.
CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600
RAM (brand, EXACT model, what slots are you using?) - G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory, In slots 2 and 4.
Video Card - MSI Radeon RX 5600 XT 6 GB MECH OC Video Card
MotherBoard - (if NOT a laptop) - Gigabyte B450M DS3H-CF (AM4)
Power Supply - brand & wattage (if laptop, skip this one) - EVGA BQ 500 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply
Is driver verifier enabled or disabled? - Disabled. Previously I had it enabled and it saw Razer components and Vanguard Anticheat to be the source of BSODs but not connected to the monitor issue I was experiencing.
What security software are you using? (Firewall, antivirus, antimalware, antispyware, and so forth) - Windows default firewall and antivirus. Also, have the free version of Malwarebytes that I run every now and then.
Are you using proxy, vpn, ipfilters or similar software? - No.
Are you using Disk Image tools? (like daemon tools, alcohol 52% or 120%, virtual CloneDrive, roxio software) - No.
Are you currently under/overclocking? Are there overclocking software installed on your system? - No.

This certainly seems like a compatibility issue between the monitor and the graphics card.

It consistently appears to crash when attempting to adjust the colour calibration with your monitor. I would contact the manufacturer and mention your issue to them. This is definitely related to your monitor.

No, this is an compatibility issue between the card and the monitor. You'll need to speak to the manufacturer of monitor and find out if this is a known problem.

I'm not sure if I included this but the monitor has worked in the past with the GPU. If that changes anything.
I have contacted Sceptre support and they requested to see this forum page, so I've emailed it over.

I'm not sure why it would suddenly stop working then, however, you've established that the GPU is itself is fine and the monitor itself is fine since they both work independently of each other without any issues. Although, when used together, there is a consistent Stop 0x50 which identical on each occasion, which strongly suggests that there is some form of compatibility bug between the two.
