hi all

About three weeks ago I purchased some new parts to assemble my pc , unfortunately I am having problems with random BSOD which I could not identify . please ask for your help with this situation ,

The blue screen show sometimes when I'm just listening music , when I turn off the PC, when I try to run the browser, appeared only once when im playing .... anyway, is totally random .

Here I detail my PC information :

http://speccy.piriform.com/results/GMHcVVjLNWVifelUHx20sOT

My power supply is a Cooler Master GX 650W 80 plus bronze

found at this link the files to analyze my problem (perfmon and jcgriff2)

View attachment BSOD.rar

I have done all this with no positive results:
1. Update drivers for my graphics card ( was in the version 12,104 and have upgrade to 13,152)
2. I changed my hard drive with a new one
3. RAM test in windows without any error in the result
4. RAM test with memtes86 program without any error encountered (more than 4 hours of analysis)
5. registry cleaning and windows temporary files with CCleaner and Tuneup
6. finally reformatted my PC and reistalar the same windows 7 64 bit

this is a list of programs that I have installed on my PC

Hi,

There are no DMP files located in your jcgriff2 output folder. Can you please navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump and manually zip up and attach the dump files?

Regards,

Patrick

mmm Patrick my minidump folder its empty -.-
i have used Whocrasehd program and found this:

[FONT=Segoe UI, Arial]Crash dump directory: C:\Windows\Minidump[/FONT]
[FONT=Segoe UI, Arial][/FONT]
[FONT=Segoe UI, Arial]Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.
[/FONT]
[FONT=Segoe UI, Arial]On Sat 14/12/2013 02:03:16 a.m. GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: [FONT=Segoe UI, Arial]Unknown[/FONT] (0x00000000)
Bugcheck code: 0x7F (0x8, 0x80050033, 0x406F8, 0xFFFFF80002CA5734)
Error: [FONT=Segoe UI, Arial]UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP[/FONT]
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the Intel CPU generated a trap and the kernel failed to catch this trap.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error.
Google query: [FONT=Segoe UI, Arial]UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP[/FONT]

the only dmp file its Memory.dmp but its too heavy (84 Mb in .rar) located in
[/FONT]C:\Windows

Ah, good, that's a Kernel dump. Usually when Kernel dump is selected, a Minidump is also generated. I digress...

Let's go ahead and get that MEMORY.DMP from C:\Windows uploaded to Mediafire, etc. A hosting of your choice.

Regards,

Patrick

Great, thanks!

The attached DMP file is of the UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f) bug check.

This bug check indicates that the Intel CPU generated a trap and the kernel failed to catch this trap.

BugCheck 7F, {8, fffff801c6a1ee70, ffffd00020fb1ff0, fffff800041c12d4}

The 1st parameter of the bug check is 0x00000008, or Double Fault, indicates that an exception occurs during a call to the handler for a prior exception. Typically, the two exceptions are handled serially. However, there are several exceptions that cannot be handled serially, and in this situation the processor signals a double fault. There are two common causes of a double fault:
  • A kernel stack overflow. This overflow occurs when a guard page is hit, and the kernel tries to push a trap frame. Because there is no stack left, a stack overflow results, causing the double fault.
  • A hardware problem.

1. Remove and replace avast! with Microsoft Security Essentials for temporary troubleshooting purposes:

avast! removal tool - avast! Uninstall Utility | Download aswClear for avast! Removal

MSE - Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows

2. In your loaded drivers list, dtsoftbus01.sys is listed which is the Daemon Tools driver. Daemon Tools is a very popular cause of BSOD's in 7/8 based systems. Please uninstall Daemon Tools. Alternative imaging programs are: MagicISO, Power ISO, etc.

Regards,

Patrick

The irritating thing about the Stop 0x7F, is that the context switch didn't manage to save the context properly, and the .load wow64exts doesn't work properly.

Code:
The context is partially valid. Only x86 user-mode context is available.

The processor must have been running in Long Mode, in order to execute 64-bit instructions for the operating system, and to execute 32-bit instructions and code for certain User-Mode programs.

As Patrick said, Stop 0x7F are commonly due to Stack Overflows and hardware issues.

Thx Patrick and BlueRobot for the answers

I have unistalled the Daemon Tools and change my antivirus to MSE, lets wait and see what happen today.

One friend sugest me to upgrade my OS to Win 8 Pro, maybe the BSOD dont show on this version.........what do you think about it?

I would hold off on an upgrade until we know your issues are solved. Upgrades are actually quite the opposite and tend to cause more issues than relieve due to various device drivers and software not being compatible upon upgrade.

Regards,

Patrick

I agree with Patrick, there is usually unseen compatibility issues with operating system changes, so it's best to wait to see if a another BSOD happens.

Hi guys, two days wothout BSOD =)
