Hi I have just run R Kill and it completed with no issues found. Except it terminated two processes C:\Windows\SysWOW64\HsMgr.exe (PID: 3108) [WD-HEUR]
* C:\Windows\system\HsMgr64.exe (PID: 3132) [WD-HEUR]

Should I delete them? and if so why?

Thanks

Neil

Hi, Neil.

Why did you run RKill? The purpose of RKill is to kill processes that are preventing you from running anti-malware software, such as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

Let's start with checking the exe. Please go to Jotti: Jotti's malware scan
Upload the filepath shown below into the "File to upload & scan" box at the upper left:

C:\Windows\system\HsMgr64.exe

Please upload the same file at VirusTotal: http://www.virustotal.com/
In the "Upload a file", browse to the file path above and upload the file.

Please provide the results from both Jotti and VirusTotal in your reply.

Hi Corrine,

I ran R Kill because I could not run malwarebytes or access some UK websites, due to my experience with a scammer on Friday I assumed it was residual problems. Since posting Ive learnt my ISP BT had a problem this morning affecting all the UK but has now been corrected. So my issue has been resolved.

Thanks for your prompt reply
Neil

Happy to know the issue wasn't related to the scammer phone call or malware. Thanks for letting me know, Neil.
