I was trying to submit a new driver to http://carrona.org/dvrref.php and was unable to do so due to its strange name. I thought I would submit it here for John to see. :) Let me know if this works? If I do not hear back, I'll send a PM.

Driver Name: pcdsrvc.pkms
Error: Please Put in a valid name
Time Stamp:
Time Stamp is valid or is Empty!
Driver Information:

PC-Doctor Kernel Driver

System(Windows) Driver?: No

The regex script used to accept drivers name looks for *.XXX

I was under the impression when I wrote it a while ago that all drivers had an extension of 3 or less...

If this is no longer the case I can easily make the edit...

I believe the timestamp issue has already been resolved. It now gives a green light warning, but not an actual error. :)

pcdsrvc.pkms seems to be an exception to the rule, but it is very rare. The only other driver I see with a four letter extension is pcdsrvc_x64.pkms, the same company. There may be others I have not seen; I have not sorted through all 3,119 drivers. ;)

I do not know whether it is necessary to make it possible for four letter extensions to be accepted. It is really your call.

I will hopefully be completely upgrading the DRT here shortly so small things like this are very nice to know.

Thanks Laxer. Appreciate you taking the time, and I am glad you found the information useful. :)

Reporting all bugs will greatly assist me when I begin upgrades. :grin1:

Thank you for telling us, If you would like and can get the driver approved by John/Carrona I will manually insert it into the table...

As we are still developing and this is rare I don't think it will do much harm :grin1:
