Basically I'm representing myself here trying to get my little hp streamer to update and get more space on my c drive.I'm also helping a friend partition his Chromebook so he can install a Linux.
I'm so confused. Any tips and tricks would be great.

Hi Ladilibra and welcome to Sysnative.

As for your computer issues, two totally separate problems with two separate computers are best worked in two separate threads. So please start a new thread for your computer in the appropriate forum here (I would suggest either the Hardware forum or the applicable Windows forum). As for the Chromebook, I suggest your friend read this and see if they want to proceed.
