So this is going for about three days now. When I turn on my PC between the time of 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM it will not boot or either keep on crashing after a few seconds, then about 2 or 3 hours later it will boot. After I run sfc /scannow it will show some files have been corrupted and after it have been repaired and display no integrity violations it will repeat the same thing tomorrow, so the corrupted files need to be repaired once again. If I open it at other times like in the morning, afternoon or midnight it just works just fine. I've turned on Deep Freeze after the corrupted files have been repaired but it will display that some files have been corrupted once gain after I open it a day after. I suspect it is my computer is infected since I was found out some malware prior to this. Can anybody help?

Thanks for the reply, but I've already ran Bitdefender but it only detected a web threat and blocked it other than that it detected no threats.

No memory dumps/BSOD's in the attached reports.

If it's clean of viruses, then the next place to post would be the forums that diagnose SFC.EXE issues.
Please post over in the Windows Update forum for SFC.EXE issues: Windows Update
Carefully read the pinned topics at the top of the forum for posting instructions.

Good luck!

Hello,

FRST Scan
  1. Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:
64-bit: Downloading Farbar Recovery Scan Tool
  2. Right-click to run the tool as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  3. Note: Ensure that the Addition.txt check box is checked at the bottom of the form within the Optional Scan area.
  4. Press the Scan button.
  5. Please wait for the tool to finish. It will produce two logfiles called FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should be the desktop)
  6. Post the logfiles FRST.txt and Addition.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Step 1:
Uninstall the following programs, restart the machine when prompted.
  • Advanced SystemCare

  5. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  6. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  7. Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Step 3:
Did you install Faronics Deep Freeze ?

Update: I've brought my PC for repair, it was cleaned and reapplied with thermal paste as they thought overheating was the issue. I was able to use it once it the afternoon but I tried once again during the time in which I cannot always start it (between 7:30 PM to to 9:00 PM) and I still get the restarting over and over again before it restarted over and over the CPU temp was between 55-65°C so I think it is not overheating. And I am also able to use it at different times of the day without problems except during this specific timeframe (7:30 PM to 9:00 PM).

Yes, I did install Deep Freeze but I always put it in thaw when doing the repairs.

To be honest, I do not really know. As this error occurs only on the specific time frames apart from that the PC is good to go. The only thing that I was peculiar though was the Search Powered by Yahoo! has no "Publisher" and also wouldn't uninstall so I got Geek Uninstaller to forcefully uninstall it. I also did the same for UltraISO as it does not have any "Publisher" and I do not have any use for it anymore. Would setting computer time settings to those time frames and try booting it worth a try?

You didn't try the normal uninstall procedure in step 1 first ?
UltraISO is a legitimate program.

I wouldn't change the system date and time as this might let into other problems.
Better wait for the next time frame and check then.
If the problem re-occurs, uninstall Faronics Deep Freeze to see if that makes a difference.
