Outlook 2010 stopped sending emails on Windows 10

I've been using Microsoft Outlook 2010 for a while now to handle several of my email addresses - recently (possibly since switching to Windows 10) it seems to have stopped working correctly and is now not sending out emails.

None of my email passwords have changed recently, and I'm receiving emails fine. However, the following error is appearing in Send/Receive:

Sending' reported error (0x800CCC13) : 'Cannot connect to the network. Verify your network connection or modem.'

This is occurring across multiple email accounts from different providers, so I'm happy that this isn't anything to do with my passwords or some other error.

I'm also getting this error occasionally:

Task 'example@example.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC1A) : 'Your server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method. Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for additional assistance.'

Email removed for obvious reasons.

Any thoughts?
 
Run sfc /scannow. There are a number of Windows 10 email issues this fixes out of the box without any of us needing to look at the logfiles. If it's going to work, it'll do so automatically.

I had the same issue couple of weeks ago. Most of the blogger suggested SFC (System File Checker) or "sfc /scannow" command to fix this error 0x800CCC13. When I searched about SFC on Google, I found an informative article on SFC which also covered the “Sending Reported Error 0x800CC13”. Really, this command worked in my case.So, I am going to share with you that link, read it once.
