First, please tell us whether you're using a 32bit or 64bit copy of Windows.
Then:
Export registry key
- Click on the Start
button and in the search box, type regedit
- When you see regedit on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
- When regedit opens, using the left pane, navigate to the following registry key and select it by clicking on it once.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework
- Once selected, click File > Export....
- Name this file registryExport1.reg and save it to your Desktop.
Then repeat this whole procedure for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework (if it exists) and save it as
registryExport2.reg.
I then want you to drag and select both of those two new registry export files from your Desktop > right click > Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder. Give it a name and upload it to your new thread. Then please run the BSOD collection app:
Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 & Vista
I know you're not having a BSOD issue, but it's a convenient tool to collect certain pieces of info I need about your system. Please upload that file to your new thread too.
Then I'll see what I can do. This will either be a very simple fix or a fairly complex one. Those pieces of information should reveal which.
