<sigh> Can't stand Basketball anymore, nor Baseball. I'm sure that I will take a little flack for this but, I don't believe that the whiners of those two sports should be paid the amount of money that they are. And the fact that every few years they get together and collectively decide that they aren't being paid enough and refuse to play, is even more egregious.

Sports where there is a real danger, or shortened life expectancy are the exception to this. The average NFL player dies in his late 40s to early 50s. The average professional fighter dies in his/her late 50s to early 60s. The average Baseball player dies in his/her late 60s. The average Basketball player, has the normal expected life span of a normal, healthy individual, late 70s. So quit your whining NBA players.

Field lacrosse is much cleaner the Box(indoor) lacrosse

And yes, I did highjack this basketball thread with lacrosse :grin1:

Interestingly enough... Some box lacrosse leagues allow fighting because it brings in fans :lolg:

I obtained this knowledge some time back after a conversation about the topic. Simply search for "study sports life expectancies" and you will find a large amount of information on the topic. I also know from experience about the fighter expectancy. I was into Muay Thai kickboxing and grappling for about 3.5 years. After a few injuries, my doctor had me talk to a friend of his who is a Neurologist. He showed me studies and pictures of the brains from dead fighters. Every impact your head takes, damages brain matter.
