Hi ALL ,

I planning to upgrade company that i work from windows 7 to Windows 10 .

During testing phase i encounter software issue compability.
i have software that we call it rdp manager we use to remote to computer.

this software work on older build of windows 10 etc 1703

but for Windows 10 Build 1809 this rdp manager cannot work anymore .

it seems that file missing in Syswow64 .
Solution is copy from system32 to syswow64

does anyone know why latest windows 10 build remove mstsc.exe.mui from syswow64 ?

Hi there,

I believe you need to enable optional feature "Remote Desktop Services Tools" from 1809 onwards.

All the best,

Richard

As Richard mentioned, RSAT tools are now an optional feature for Windows 10 1809 and later. There are two methods for installing the optional features. The instructions to install the features you are looking for are in the links below:

Also, in the future, please stick to one troubleshooting site. I see that you asked this question at several sites. The help you have so far received from Microsoft Community seems misguided, telling you to grab the files from a previous version of Windows 10, repair Windows 10, or upgrade Windows 10. I do not recommend following that advice since it does not address that the feature is now optional. In addition, copying Windows features from other versions of Windows that differ from your current version can have a negative impact on your Windows installation.
