May have a malware on my pc

Good afternoon,

i think i have a malware on my pc because my pc is sometimes laggy and a bit loud due to the processor. Sometimes the writing in Word is a bit laggy and it needs some times to be okay then. How can I check if there is an unwanted guest in my PC.
