Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit BETA v1.10.3.1001 can't scan

I tried to run a scan on my PC with Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit BETA v1.10.3.1001 but I keep getting an error message that it can't scan. I tried disabling my AV (Avast) and I tried running it in safe mode.

Are you having other issues with your computer or were you merely scanning with the MBAR? If you need assistance removing malware, issues, please follow the Malware Removal Posting Instructions. I'm working with the OP here. Not sure if this is the same machine. If it is, not sure why he jumped here.

Just a thought before posting the logs, have you tried uninstalling the MBAR Beta and using the stable version?

MBAR Beta is a stand alone folder.

Delete the folder and download the normal version: Downloading Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit

Well I started a topic about this over at the forum you supplied but I still don't have any reply yet.

Since I saw it has been in Beta for years, I went looking at the MBAM forum and discovered this

Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit will always be in beta. Basically, Malwarebytes releases a beta version of Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit to test it (and so users can test it as well). Once it's "stable", it's technology is rolled in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and a new beta version of it is released to restart the cycle.

So if you scan with Malwarebytes, you can actually scan for rootkits within this program, if you turn it on.
Check settings.
