From Panda Security Forum - View topic - Information regarding false positive with PCOP and Retail 2015

Wednesday 14:00 (CET), 11 March, 2015

We inform you that today, a false positive in the signature file affecting Panda Cloud Office Protection, Retail 2015 products and Panda Free AV has caused certain files to be moved to quarantine.

This signature file has already been replaced and this situation should not recur.

Nonetheless, it is very important NOT TO RESTART YOUR COMPUTER until a solution is available.

Panda Security is investigating this issue at this very moment and looking for a fix.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We will keep you informed at all times.

This information will be constantly updated in the following link:

An unfortunate situation, followed up by poor customer service. They aren't releasing consistent updates to their customers, especially their business who are out 6000+ systems. People appreciate knowing what's going on, even if it's "we still don't have an ETA on the tool yet". It's better than ignoring your customers or leaving them in the dark aside from Twitter updates telling customers just not to reboot/expect a tool, IMO.

Perhaps explain why not to reboot to people not well versed in what's going on? Oh well, what do I know. Hope it's resolved soon.

UPDATE -

A solution which restores the quarantined files has been automatically deployed in all the affected products.

Additionally, a Tool to fix the issue is now available. The tool is to be used if the previous automatic deployment of solution did not work. Please refer to the Support articles: Soporte Técnico - Panda Security and Soporte Técnico - Panda Security
