[SOLVED] KB5031356 Failed to Install

Hi,

I am using Windows 10 22H2 and have issues trying to install Windows Update KB5031356. Tried multiple times without success. See screenshot below.

Someone else was having the same issue at this thread:

Hi,

Upload the setupapi.dev.log file

• Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\INF folder.
• Right-click on the file setupapi.dev.log and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
• Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
• Click on the Yes button here.
• Attach the file setupapi.dev.zip in your next reply.

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

• Download the attachment SFCFixScript.txt and save it to your desktop.
• Drag the SFCFixScript.txt file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

Hi....Windows Update installed 3 updates without issue....but not KB5031356....but its likely fine?

Hi,

KB5031356 is the cumulative update (LCU) of October. The latest installed LCU is KB5032189 (November) which is the recent update and replaced the previous one.

So this looks good, if there are no remaining issues we can mark this thread as solved.
