I'm having issues with the app telling me it can't download the DRT and asking me to check my internet connection.
Haven't updated to the latest version yet.

Around the same time my system started not recognizing 4 gB of my RAM (I have 12 gB total).
Also, attempts to launch Internet Explorer are met with "Not Responding" and it never connects to the web.
Interestingly, Firefox works just fine.

I suspect that this is an issue with my mobo, but am asking for some more suggestions/input.
Haven't finished a memory scan yet, but what has been done has passed.
Also passed CPU diagnostics in PCCheck (a tool from Eurosoft UK that we use at work).

The VA said it owes me money, so I may just use it to upgrade to system that I asked about in another post.

Was this on a Windows 8 machine? This may not be related to your other problems. I had a similar message when using the apps in Windows 8 the other day. Not sure if something changed with firewall settings with a Windows update or if it is a problem with the interface between the apps and carrona.org that Windows 8 does not like. I'll have to do some further testing later in the week.

I am still working on getting an official update put together. Unfortunately (in terms of the apps), I was hit with a project at work that demands a lot of my time since we promised a customer three months worth of work would be done in about half that time. I'm enjoying the work, but it means things like forum work and apps work have had to drop off my to do list each day. I should be able to get back to those more in a couple weeks.

Not a problem Mike. It is my Win8 system - and it's going to be replaced shortly anyway.

If I click "No" on the warning it seems that the app just uses a copy of the DRT (I presume it's stored on my system) - so it's good for the present.

Just FYI - the error pops up just before the app is ready to stop looking for the info for the BSOD links

Another FYI - I had the Help file lock up on me and it didn't respond until the Update Availability came on the screen.
Maybe it's the update availability check conflicting with other checks?
Any easy way to turn it off to see if that helps?

Is there any easy way to manually download the DRT in the format that the app uses? That way I can update it as needed.

Yes, just download dump.txt and make a copy of it as dump.txt.bak so the apps can use the backup if they are unable to download dump.txt through the network.

The files are stored within the download directory wherever you installed SysnativeBSODApps. The default location is %USERPROFILE%\SysnativeBSODApps\download

Sorry I haven't gotten back to all your posts. I've been incredibly swamped at work and with my current desktop PC issues.

Thanks Mike!
I presume that this is the file stored in the /drivers/files sub-directory (it's the only one that I could find on the website)?

If I need an answer urgently, I'll PM you. The app is still working for me, and I'm still attempting to move everything to my new system - so I don't even know if I'll have these issues on my new system.

Take your time and get your life sorted out - that's the most important thing.

Yes, I was referring to the /drivers/files sub-directory where the dump.txt is generated and updated. Sorry for not clarifying. :-}

Hope all continues to go well with the apps; definitely send me a PM if you urgently need a fix. I do monitor my e-mail for posts here and PMs to my account here.

Just FYI - I finally setup my new system and am running the apps without any issues.
What I did:
- installed v2.15.3 of the app on my new system(I have 2.15.6 on my old system)
- installed v1.4 of the niemiro dll's
- copied all folders from the Sysnative BSODApp directory on my old system to the same directory on my new system
- just ran my first set of dumps and all was well (took a while as it had to upload symbols).

Just keep in mind that 2.15.3 will suffer from issues with large .dmp files or full .DMP files due to the memory limitations. 2.15.6 is better able to handle those files.

I really need to release an official update to 2.15.6, but I would need to also release an update to 2.7.2 as a secondary. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to update 2.7.2 due to a big deadline for work tomorrow and a big deadline for my research next Tuesday. I am currently way too stressed to worry about the apps, but I will try to take a look next week when things settle down.
