IE 11 seems to run fine on all websites, and with vids from Netflix, HBO. etc.

I have uninstalled IE11 by way of Programs and features first. And then uninstalled the program itself.

Restarted Laptop and it reverted to IE8. Fresh install. Still no Youtubes runs.
Installed IE10 plus updates and reinstall Adobe flash to ver. 16. Still Youtubes won’t play.
But all TV and News video’s do play fine, that are from their site. Netflix works and does HBO vid’s. As well as other pay site moive places.
Turn off all firewall and anti span stuff as well etc.

**Youtube runs on other laptops that are connected to same AP 450mbps to 867 mbps. IE11 works and plays youtubes.

I can’t run Youtube videos.:noidea::huh:

Dell M6600 W7 all updated. Sfc /scannow is clean and SURT reports no errors.

Anyone got an idea where the issue is or are at here?

Thanks

It does sound reasonably like a Flash problem. As a quick test, can you please switch to the HTML5 Youtube player and see if that works: https://www.youtube.com/html5 [click on "Request the HTML5 player"].

It's not the ideal solution as there are times the HTML5 player can't be used, just a quick test to check what's working and what's not.

Other than that, a detailed description of what goes wrong when you try to play Youtube videos is our best bet.

Do you get any error messages from YouTube?
Chrome and IE11

Could not click on what you instructed. But click on both chrome and IE and they gave gif play I think?

No [click on "Request the HTML5 player"] was clickable? Or I could be wrong?:huh:

I've had the similar problem your experiencing, and when I refreshed the same page, the video then played normally with no problems.

YouTube should now default to HMTL 5 <video> tags for browsers like IE11.

"Over the last four years, we’ve worked with browser vendors and the broader community to close those gaps, and now, YouTube uses HTML5 <video> by default in Chrome, IE 11, Safari 8 and in beta versions of Firefox."

Here's the funny part.

I have Identical 6 Dell LapTop M4400 W7 8gb and 250 ssd, fully clean SURT ,SFC /Scannow and all updated Windows and drivers, Norton VS.
They all Run very fast and sweet all six. All same programs, with recovery ghost disk per LT if needing to restore.
Have a set M4600 the same way, even sweeter speed.

On the M4400's two won't run Youtube videos in Chrome or IE11.
THE OTHER 4 will run youtube in chrome or IE11 no problem!
Check setting they are same.

:banghead::banghead::confused2::huh::roll eyes (sarcasti:noidea:

Is there a place to check this setting in IE11?
""YouTube should now default to HMTL 5 <video> tags for browsers like IE11."":huh:

Please mark this as fixed. The whole issue was a dead WAN crossover port forward to the next wifi / LAN router.

Dell M6600 dual boot w7/w8.1 was all good.......Gee.. I feel so stupid.....I did not see this issue. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: Gee.....screwed up here with an assumption.
