It also appears to be the case that the members posting questions seem to be very knowledgeable with regards to what logs they need to post etc, in comparison to other communities.

I was only just made aware that sysnative offers some free tools. Are these official sysnative tools or are these tools contributed by members?

Some are official Sysnative tools and are written and maintained by several Members.

SFCFix and the Sysnative Dump and File Collection App to name a few.
