Mozilla sent Firefox Version 20 to the release channel. Included in the update are eleven (11) critical security updates. To get the update now, select "Help" from the Firefox menu at the upper left of the browser window, then pick "About Firefox." Mac users need to select "About Firefox" from the Firefox menu. If you do not use the English language version, Fully Localized Versions are available for download.

Additional information is available in Mozilla Firefox 20.0 Released With Critical Security Updates.

Have they patched the memory leak issues with this version? I don't personally use Firefox on my personal computer, but I use it when I'm at college, I read on one Firefox support page that some user was still experiencing problems. A moderator suggested it most likely to due to third-party extensions, is this the case?

I think it was Version 18 that I had all the problems with. So far, Version 20.0.1 has been very stable. In fact, I haven't even noticed any "zombie compartments" mentioned in about:khuey - Fixing the Memory Leak and described by Mozilla at Zombie compartments. That only seemed to occur when I had more than the usual 15 tabs open and had been opening/closing tabs throughout the day.
