Mozilla released version 16.0.2 to address a critical security issue which, if unfixed, could be combined with some plugins to perform a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack on users.

Security Update Fixed in Firefox 16.0.2

Update

To get the update now, select "Help" from the Firefox menu at the upper left of the browser window, then pick "About Firefox." Mac users need to select "About Firefox" from the Firefox menu.

If you do not use the English language version, Fully Localized Versions are available for download.

I just installed Firefox today due to slowness I was experiencing with IE8 on my XP system; 1 GB of RAM with a 1.7 GHz 2 core processor wasn't cutting it for IE8 for some reason... I also only have 128 MB of video memory, so that might have something to do with it.

I noticed the version number; I think I last installed a few weeks ago with the previous version. Thanks for the info!
