Alright, so I have this issue that's been going on since I upgraded to 14.0.1. Random times, usually inconvenient times, like when writing a post about it, the browser just freezes, for no apparent reason. It is pulling no more or less memory than before 14 was released, nor does it seem to matter what website I'm at that it happens, or whether I have one tab or twenty. So, it's confusing me why it's doing this. I've tried uninstalling it with the default Windows uninstaller, as well as via Revo Uninstaller, and reinstalling it fresh afterwards, neither attempt had any difference. Nor did restarting it three times each time (if you don't know that line, YouTube "Web Guy vs. Sales Guy"). The problem does no occur in IE7, 8, or 9, SeaMonkey 2.10.1 or 2.11, nor Google Chrome 19.0.1084.46 m. Any suggestions?

Hi, AoN.

Although you've already gone the route of uninstall and using Revo (not something I recommend unless absolutely necessary because I've seen where Revo has removed more than it should), the first step to try is the relatively new reset feature, described here: Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems. (Note: To anyone considering the reset feature, check the link to see what is not saved or set to default.)

Make sure you have the latest Flash Player installed, currently Flash Player 11.3.300.268, released July 26, 2012, with bug fixes related to general stability, audio, and video. (Check the version at About Flash Player page.) Direct download for latest plug-in version: Download EXE Installer.

Just a thought as most of them share the default Firefox profile and probably share some Registry entries; do you, or have you had, a 3rd party Firefox build installed?
