[SOLVED] Failed to install kb3000850

No worries :) Here's your next set of instructions for when you comeback. You'll go in the Device Manager, enable the option to see the hidden devices, expand the Network Adapters section and take a screenshot of what you see.

Device Manager
Follow the instructions below for your version of Windows to open the Device Manager;

On Windows XP, right-click on My Computer, then go to the Hardware tab and click on Device Manager;
On Windows Vista and Windows 7, open the Windows Start Menu, right-click on Computer and select Properties;
On Windows 8, bring your cursor in the bottom-left corner of the screen, wait for the metro preview to show then right-click on it and select Device Manager;
On Windows 8.1, right-click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner of the screen and select Device Manager;
From the System window, click on Device Manager in the left pane;
Click on the View menu and select Show hidden devices;
Expand the Network adapters section, maximize the Device Manager window and take a screenshot of it;

How to take a screenshot using the Snipping Tool
Follow the instructions below to take a screenshot using Windows' Snipping Tool:

Press on the Win Key + R to open the Run box;
Enter SnippingTool and press on Enter;
The Snipping Tool will open, asking you to choose the area to take in the screenshot;
Left click on the area where you want to start the screenshot, keep it, and drag the cursor across the screen;
Once done, release the left button to take the screenshot;
In the editing window, click on the File menu then Save As;
Save the screenshot in a folder that you can access easily;
Attach the screenshot in your next reply and post it;

Alright, since we're about to delete keys in the Registry, I'll ask you to create a System Restore point first before proceeding with SFCFix. Follow the instructions below please.

Create a new System Restore Point

For Windows 7, click on the Windows Start Menu, right-click on Computer and select Properties;
For Windows 8, bring the cursor in the bottom left-corner of the screen and wait for the metro preview to open, then right-click on it and select System;
For Windows 8.1, right-click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select System;
Click on Advanced System Settings in the left pane;
Click on the System Protection tab;
Click on the Create... button;
Enter a descriptive name for the System Restore point you are about to create, and click on Create;
Wait until the creation is complete;

SFCFix - Fix Time

WARNING! The following fix is specific to the user's system in this thread. No one else should follow the instructions below to apply that fix, as it could damage your system. If you need assistance with an issue, please start a new thread and someone will assist you shortly.

Follow the instructions below to download and execute a SFCFix fix, and provide the log.

Download SFCFix and move the executable on your Desktop;
On your Desktop, right-click and select New, then Text Document. Give it the name SFCFixScript (it should be a .txt) extension;

Open the SFCFixScript.txt file you just created, and copy/paste the following in it;

Save any work you have open, and close every programs;
Drag the SFCFixScript.txt file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it;
SFCFix will launch, let it complete;
Once done, a file will appear on your Desktop, called SFCFix.txt;
Open the file, then copy and paste its content in your next reply;

Alright so the fix failed. Did you ever went in the Registry? If I was to ask you to delete a Registry key, do you know how or do you want instructions?

Nope, just used regedit and deleted the node.

Maybe scanfix.exe doesnt run with admin rights when I drop the textfile on it??

SFCFix uses Admin Rights when needed. Can you try to delete the second one then?
