Hello! I have the problem that when I am changing and managing files in the Explorer it just crashes. I´m getting back to the Desktop which is `reloading´.
(It´s acting like I´m starting the computer). The last files i renamed were reset. This really annoys me!! Please help!!!

Thanks!

I´m using a HP Pavilion 15 Touchsmart with Win 8.1 and the newest 8.1 update.

Hi yeenex! :)
Was this problem present before the update?
Have you already tried to launch sfc /scannow from an elevated commmand prompt? (And which message did appear at the end of this command?)

No, the problem was after the Update, but i dont think thats the problem.

I made the Scan the same day i experienced the problem. But it didn't find anything! :(

Thanks for the Reply! :)

That situation usually appears when the memory is "low".
Try to reproduce the situation, but check your task manager for programs that "eat" cpu and/or memory.

The only programs that were in the background was a music player and iTunes and of course the Explorer. :/

Im actually never using the explorer under a so long time so i've never seen this before. The only thing i actually do is looking for some Pics or downloads.

It should be where your OS is installed.
I.e., there should be no need to defrag every other partition/hard drive, given that the problem is Windows Explorer.

Yes.
But you can't defrag only that folder if you are using the default Windows defrag program.
To sum it up, defrag the hard disk where your OS is installed.

Dear,

We would need a crash dump for the process to know the reason it crashed. Please perform the following steps to generate one:

  1. Download ProcDump tool.
  2. Extract the downloaded archive to C:\ProcDump directory.
  3. Open an elevated Command Prompt by right-clicking on CMD.EXE shortcut in your start menu and selecting Run As Administrator from the context menu.
  4. Type the following command:
    Code:
    C:\ProcDump\ProcDump.exe -e -ma explorer C:\ProcDump
  5. Compress the DMP file, which was newly created in C:\ProcDump directory.
  6. Upload the compressed file to a file sharing service (e.g. OneDrive or DropBox).
  7. Share the download link here.
Thank you.

Hello,

Explorer is crashing due to BsSDK.dll module, which is related to the Bluetooth software you have installed. Could you please removing Bluetooth related applications using Control Panel and then download/install the latest Bluetooth drivers from you computer manufacturer page?
