[SOLVED] Error 0x80073701 w/Windows Update & New Roles/Features Add (Win Server 2016)

It's very odd. As you know this happened to my system twice now. The current server was very carefully installed from scratch so I'm completely baffled what could cause this level of corruption in Windows.
I know this has been a lot of your time and I much appreciate it. CBS folder attached.

It's a new system only a few months old with no power losses (it's on UPS). Never a hint of problems with chkdsk but I haven't tested the RAM. Any recommendation on how to test the RAM? I think Dell includes some diagnostic programs but not sure if they're good or not.

It turns out I did not have that update installed so I grabbed it from the catalog site and to my shock it installed successfully. I wonder why it never showed up as an available update to install...
 
I'm off to bed! Will check back in the morning.

If this succeeds, go to Windows Update and check for updates to make sure nothing is left to be installed.
 
Wow that one took and no updates left to be installed per WU. Amazing! One by one worked.
