Never a hint of problems with chkdsk but I haven't tested the RAM. Any recommendation on how to test the RAM? I think Dell includes some diagnostic programs but not sure if they're good or not. It turns out I did not have that update installed so I grabbed it from the catalog site and to my shock it installed successfully. I wonder why it never showed up as an available update to install...
