DPC Latency Issues

LOLOL- I didn't take your post as a shut down.:thumbsup2: I took it as a "Uh, dude, you probably shouldn't be doing this" bit of friendly advice. Last thing I want to do is request something you folks consider unsavory or get myself into trouble in the process. The flip side for me is (and I quote) "if you figure it out, let me know." Wth... that's your job dude! (The IT guy i mean, not you.)

As for removing all current 3rd party (non-Windows) security software, replacing with Microsoft Security Essentials and 'breaking' the mapped drives, heck that's no problem. I don't mind doing that, easy enough.

As for 'driver verifier' steps- I performed all the steps but indeed was not able to re-boot, so went back to last good config as the directions said. Continuing on to verifier /query process, nothing happened. I won't be able to get to "Run HDD Diagnostics" and "Test RAM" until later tonight.

I'm going to pack up for a couple of days, taking my youngest camping (where the pauses will be much more enjoyable), and will be back Tuesday night. Ok if I hold off until then? I know you folks are the ones extending yourself to help me, so let me know- if I need to get on it now, I will.

Hi, Phoo.

(OT: Many years ago, I worked with attorneys at Kodak who worked closely with Genentch.)

I hope you had a great time camping. Please note the request by Vir Gnarus Latency Issues (Windows 7)]here.

Hey there Folks- hope all is well! Sorry for the delay- finals week and term papers due got the best of me, then had to do some engine work on my Explorer (something I'm much more comfortable getting my hands into). In the meantime, pauses the last couple of days have been awful, so I've been using another lap top just to get through last week of school. I will post the logs per Vir's request on the other thread, thanks for the heads up! TTYS.

Phoo
