I have faced BSOD for a few months. I have posted a thread (https://www.sysnative.com/forums/bsod-crashes-kernel-debugging/21095-please-help.html ) and then I reinstalled my OS. There's almost one month after the re-installation and I faced BSOD once again.

Once I entered the desktop, "amd driver stop responding and has recovered" pop out continuously and BSOD occurred. The error message is 0x000000116.

I can only enter safe mode now and when I run system report, it said that it couldn't find the path.View attachment SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zipView attachment SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip

I uninstall the amd driver and catalyst center --> use amd clean up utility to remove files left---> use Vit Registry Fix to remove the registry items--> reinstall amd driver and catalyst center ---> restart ---> BSOD

I can use windows VGA driver in normal boot. But once I enable the amd driver, it crashes.

Hi jasontangtsz. :smile9:

Did you already try to remove dust inside your pc (fans, air slits, and so forth)
Did you check if fans are working?
Did you apply a new layer of thermal compound on your cpu?
How many ram sticks are seated (how many ram sticks are installed)?
What's the exact model of your graphic card? And the manufacturer?

Thanks for replying.

-I did remove the dust.
-The fas are working.
-I cleaned the dust but didn't apply a new compound.
-One ram stcks
-I stated above AMD Radeon HD 7400 series.

Also, I reinstalled the amd driver again and I can now access in normal windows. But I can't watch videos or play games.

And I am preparing to run a driver verifier.

I think it may not be caused by overheating.

In previous OS, I have checked the GPU temperature when playing games and watching stream, and its temperature were only around sixties, not even exceeding 70.

I found 5 "hd 7400 series" on Wikipedia:
  • Radeon HD 7450 (OEM) - codename Caicos - arch. TeraScale 2
  • Radeon HD 7470 (OEM) - codename Caicos - arch. TeraScale 2
  • Radeon HD 7480D - codename scrapper - arch. TeraScale 3
  • integrated/mobile Radeon HD 7400G - codename scrapper - arch. TeraScale 3 (integrated in amd A4-4355M cpu?)
  • integrated/mobile Radeon HD 7420G - codename scrapper - arch. TeraScale 3 (integrated in amd A4-4300M cpu?)
Hence you should have one of the first three models...
Did you buy and seat your graphic card inside your pc?
Or did someone do it for you?
Don't you have its box?
You can also check it when you open and remove the dust from your pc.
PSU information is missing, too, hence you can also check that.
By the way, it seems overheating to me: you have a small motherboard, a small pc, and 70Celsius isn't so low...

Sorry for late reply.

-I find out the model name now. It is Radeon HD 7450
-I did remove the card for several times to clean the dust and seated it by myself
-I don't have the box as it is packed with pc when I purchased
-The power supply is OEM

Also, I am now running driver
verifier and see what's happen.

Hi. I do get BSOD and I find there's several files in the C:\Windows\Minidump, but I don't know how to move it. I can only copy two out of five.

thankyou i will try these. i do not know the first thing about this and i would like to learn. thankyou for your help

Hi debi3324.

If you need help, you should better post a new thread and seek assistance from the experts.

Hope you can solve your problems.

Hi everyone. I have tried some settings today.

Power plan ---> balanced ---> "amd driver stop responding and has recovered" keep poping out ----> high performance ---> can use normally if not watching videos or playing games
