I have already decided to perform a repair-upgrade installation on this PC... I just figured I would upload this CBS.log file for reference or whatnot.

Hello :)

I don't know whether it is too late, but nothing there actually needs fixing, there isn't a single real corruption.

No CBS or CSI errors, and your three SFC corruptions are not a concern.

First, settings.ini. That just means that the factory slipstreamed some settings or gadget changes for Windows Sidebar into your DVD, and is an extremely common occurrence. Nothing to be concerned about.

Secondly, Wdf01000.mof and Wdf01000Uninstall.mof: Caused by a bug in a patch from two Patch Tuesdays ago. SFC incorrectly detects non-corrupt files as corrupt (simplistically). Again, nothing to be concerned about.

A perfectly healthy computer according to CBS.log. And BTW, these errors will return on the Repair Install if you a) use the same media or another similarly factory conditioned and b) blanket install all Windows Updates. You are just going to have to live with SFC corruptions I am afraid, but in the knowledge that there is nothing to be concerned about.

There are other issues here as well... The PC is already running 100% better than when I got it... I cleaned up some infections and made a bunch of changes... A quick repair install should easily take care of the rest, then I can get it updated and sent back quicker... I need to finish this tonight, my car breaking down set me back...
