Hello,

I have W8 x64 since some months.
Up to now it has been working but from time to time some bsod were appearing.

unfortunatelly the system is crashing more often in the last 2 weeks and I can't find a way to fix it.

tried:
- check Drivers
- removed additional HDDs and DVD drive
- installed all W8 updates
- disabled Pagefile

at the end I can't find a pattern for the root cause...
RAM? CPU?

Thanks in advance for your help

Celso

Your BIOS dates from 2010. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

There is an unknown USB device in Device Manager. Do you have any idea of what this is? If not, unplug your USB devices (one by one) while watching Device Manager to see if you can identify it. Once identified, be sure to install the proper, Win8 compatible drivers for it.

Please uninstall Gigabyte EasyTune6 (ET6) it's known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems. Also, if EasySaver is installed, please uninstall it - as it's also known to cause BSOD's in some Windows systems.

Please remove the Gizmo Project software (made by Arainia Solutions) from your system. The GizmoDrv.SYS driver dates from April of 2011

I saw lot's of Live Kernel Events in the WER section of MSINFO32. This is suggestive of a low-level problem (hardware or certain drivers). If the above steps don't stop the BSOD's, please:

- try this free temp monitoring software: HWiNFO, HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 - Hardware Information and Analysis Tools
- try these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
