Hi everyone,

after a few months without any BSOD, this morning I obtained a BSOD.

The strange thing was: usually, the BSOD itself appears for a few seconds, then the computer automatically restarts.

This morning, the BSOD was stuck on the screen.

I took some note about the error codes displayed and turned off my computer with the power off button.

After the restart, I was reading the Sysnative instruction to do a BSOD post (Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 + Vista )

So, I downloaded the Sysnative BSOD Dump + System File Collection App, placed it in my Documents folder and executed it..... but it is still running.

It seems to be blocked on 'Waiting for SystemInfo', every few seconds it prints another line with this message. The output is full of this messages (see the screenshot).

Should I wait for completion, or is better to terminate the execution and execute it again?

Thank you, very much,
cheers

EDIT: the Sysnative BSOD Dump + System File Collection App is still running, still logging 'Waiting for System info'.

Running for about 5 hours now...

I don't want to kill the process, because I don't know how much time is required and I'd like to not restart again from scratch :)

I'll wait for someone's advice, someone who knows the tool ;)

Cheers

Please terminate the process, there may be enough captured to post something but also and try again. If the error persists it means the log file collector needs modifying to prevent it happening. Normally the process should only take a few minutes at the most.

Ok, so I killed the process and checked the Documents folder.... but unfortunately, no output was there.

There was no file / folder referencing the SysnativeFileCollectionApp output folder.

So I runned again the Sysnative BSOD Dump + System File Collection App, but after some minutes, it is still stuck logging 'Waiting for System Info'.

During the execution, however, I noticed this strange output in the process shell:

Code:
...

18/04/2019 15:31:03,63

            Running executing Tasks Listing . . . D O N E

            Downloading and executing autorunsc.exe. . .
C:\Users\Andrea\AppData\Local\Temp\wget.js(4, 1) WinHttp.WinHttpRequest: Connessione al server interrotta in modo anomalo

"autorunsc.exe" non รจ riconosciuto come comando interno o esterno,
un programma eseguibile o un file batch.
Impossibile trovare C:\Users\Andrea\Documents\autorunsc.exe
...

The translation is: server connection abnormally interrupted : "autorunsc.exe" is not recognized as internal or external command, executable program or batch file. Cannot find C:\Users\Andrea\Documents\autorunsc.exe

Hello,

I downloaded the autoruns from that link and unzipped the content in my Documents folder.

Again, the Sysnative BSOD Dump + System File Collection App was stuck loggin 'Waiting for System Info', but this time the autoruns executed correctly and the output folder was generated.

I killed the process and manually zipped the output folder using 7zip (attached)

Thank you very much

Update:
Graphics driver (NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce 342.01 Driver WHQL)
VirtualBox drivers (https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/6.0.6/VirtualBox-6.0.6-130049-Win.exe)
Microsoft Security Essentials (Download Microsoft Security Essentials from Official Microsoft Download Center)
Intel Rapid Storage driver (check in Snappy Driver https://sdi-tool.org/download/)
And test your RAM with memtest86+
A tutorial for MemTest86+ can be found here - Test RAM with memtest.org MemTest86+

Although actually MemTest86+ hasn't been updated since 2013. It's not terrible, but there's a much better version, MemTest86 (MemTest86 - Official Site of the x86 Memory Testing Tool) which should now be used in preference to MemTest86+ in all circumstances.

The only recent crash dump was missing information or corrupted. I'm not sure how we can help properly unless some new crash dump files are provided.

Done

I don't use virtual box anymore: is ok if I uninstall it completely?

If I check for windows updates, I can find Microsoft Security Essentials there. Is ok if I update it directly with windows update?

Intel Rapid Storage driver (check in Snappy Driver https://sdi-tool.org/download/)

I'll update this

And test your RAM with memtest86+

Ok, but should I use the version suggested by Niemiro?
