Best tool for bootable ISOs IMO: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Pretty straight forward, select the drive, browse for the iso click start.

BAM done :smile9:

works with any iso including linux isos that need there own bootloaders.

It's my goto tool

well i was able to get ann image file the problem is its the ubuntu iso and not the windows, I even deleted the ubuntu and it still doesnt go to the windows iso file using rufus. Have any ideas how tto get rufus to find the right iso?

I'm a little confused.

Do you already have a windows iso?

If so, open rufus, select your drive

Click the little icon seen here:

Untitled-1.jpg

click start.

I haven't created a bootable USB using the command line since you had to way back in the Windows XP days.

I did run through a tutorial just to make sure it worked if you still want to do it that way:

Bootable usb pendrive using cmd - Bootable USB | Bootable USB

ya when i opened rufus and clicked it the first time it went to ubuntu iso file not windows and now ii deleted ubuntu until i get this figured out. but when i click on it now it goes to the empty folder where ubuntu was and there is no other file there. and i dont have a clue if the windows iso even exists at this point on my computer. I ran search for ISO(*iso) and nothing came up in results.?
