Could you please upload C:\Windows\ntbtlog.txt file and Autoruns log here?

Here it is. I have a lot of sermons and pre sermons on here that if I were not able to get onto I would be bumming. I think just to be safe I will back then all up before I shutdown again. Sorry you probably didn't need to know that but now you know why this is so important to me.

Thanks.

It's strange, because the Boot Log shows only two boot attempts today:
  • 3 13 2014 05:32:34.610 (seems to be the failing one)
  • 3 13 2014 05:50:02.610 (seems to be a fine one)
I think the removal of ASUS driver was just a coincidence - the driver is gone, but the issues still persist. If you want, you can reinstall it back.

If it really took you three times to boot the computer (event the Boot Log says there were only two boots), it even more points to a hardware problem, because everything froze even before Windows could start with the logging.

So what is your suggestion. Get a new vid card?

Get the computer to a tech service to check (and replace, if needed) the GPU.

Maybe someone else on the forum has any other ideas, but after upgrading video drivers and removing a suspected driver, I'm pretty much sure it's not a software problem we can solve.

Been following this, but not had chance to help. Thanks for all your work here Tomas!

I agree, this is still looking like a hardware issue, as I said before. I have also asked other staff members and they agree.

You will not be able to replace the graphics card yourself since this is a laptop. You will have to go to a PC repair shop or send it to ASUS themselves.

Did what you requested. Will see what happens. Scan w Malewarebytes came up clean. When I ran the autoruns.exe it came up w some things highlighted in yellow that look suspicious. Can you look at them and see if you know what they are:

cpuz134 File not found: C:\Users\Randy\AppData\Local\Temp\cpuz134\cpuz134_x64.sys

cwkrrtoo File not found: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\cwkrrtoo.sys

dvfyfbnc File not found: C:\Windows\
system32\drivers\dvfyfbnc.sys

jxomygok File not found: C:\Windows\
system32\drivers\jxomygok.sys

If I were to disable them would that crash my system? Randy

Just to note: the one boot log I looked at showed the above files in syswow64 -
Code:
Did not load driver \??\C:\Windows\[COLOR=#ff0000]SysWow64[/COLOR]\drivers\cwkrrtoo.sys
Did not load driver \??\C:\Windows\[COLOR=#ff0000]SysWow64[/COLOR]\drivers\dvfyfbnc.sys
Did not load driver \??\C:\Windows\[COLOR=#ff0000]SysWow64[/COLOR]\drivers\jxomygok.sys

Please check if they exist.

You can bring up Admin CMD prompt and paste -
Code:
dir %windir%\syswow64\drivers\*.sys >c:\0 & start notepad c:\0

A Notepad will open.

Please keep with the others here.

I was more curious about this than anything else.

Thanks,

John
