Background window color

Hello all.

Is there anyway to change that BLINDING WHITE window background color?

Hi, mmullen2.

Officially, "Blinding White" is referred to as "High Contrast White". To change it, go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Personalization. At the bottom of the screen you'll find a choice of three other options to change from instead of the "High Contrast White".

Thanks for the reply, but these are even worse in terms of eye strain. The color selection is very, very limited.

It is indeed limied with only a few themes. Perhaps new themes will be available from third parties.

Microsoft Edge has a choice between a light and dark theme in Settings but it merely changes the color of the tabs/favorites bar.
