He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phrase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself. Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Please follow the steps below. Step#1 - Run SURT 1. Please follow the instructions Here to run the System Update Readiness Tool. When the SURT finishes installing, copy (Ctrl + C) and paste (Ctrl + V) the contents of the SURT logs into your next post please.: C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log If they are too big to attach here go ahead and post then to a service that allows big files and just provide the link. Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace.

In this case all we have to do is download and install these updates manually and then you should be all set. Please download and install the updates from the links below. kb2839894 kb3028387 (skip this one for now) kb2763523 kb2853952 kb2918077 Let me know how it goes.

F froggersit Contributor Joined Aug 6, 2014 Posts 23 Location Italy Mar 19, 2015 #15 It is possible that "Windows embedded CE 6.0" is not W7 compatible?
BrianDrab Emeritus Joined Oct 20, 2014 Posts 18,131 Location United States Mar 19, 2015 #16 We suspected that may be the case. OK, please try to install from Windows Update again. We understand that it will likely fail and that's fine. We need it to record the information in the log. Then please zip up and attach the C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log file. Thank you.
