[SOLVED] Acer with Windows 8 BSOD

The error I am receiving is DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL.

Hi -

Avast listed a probable cause for all 5 BSODs.

Remove Avast with removal tool - http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN146

Reboot upon completion.

Re-enable Windows Defender (aka MSE in Windows 7, Vista) -

If the Admin account works OK in normal Windows, use it to create a new user-admin account & transfer files over from the old.
