The good news is it does say it's all ok now. The bad news is it didn't solve the issues I had run it for to begin with. And now for the backstory...
A few weeks ago the wifi on my laptop stopped working: it simply wouldn't detect any wifi networks whatsoever. Reinstalling drivers didn't work. SFC scan was finding corrupt files but couldn't fix them. As a last resort, I decided to apply some pending updates. The result was that the wifi was fixed, however many other things were broken.
1. Skype started giving an error at launch, preventing it from running.
2. A program I use to make webms gives a similar error when I try to browse for an input source.
See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debuggin - Pastebin.com
3. I can't drag and drop files in Discord anymore.
4. When I try to go to Documents from a box like this (it works fine in Windows Explorer) it hangs for around 10 seconds then nothing happens.
5. I wanted to uninstall the updates that caused the issue but nothing at all happens when I click on Installed Updates, so I'm locked out of even viewing them.
6. Similarly, some Control Panel blue links (such as Uninstall a program) do nothing when clicked.
7. I wanted to uninstall Skype and reinstall it, but I was met with this error.
