Hello there, softwaremaniac;
before we proceed, I think I need to let you know this: My Computer just forced a reboot in order to install some updates
-
Therefore, I manually ran Windows-Update > Search for new updates again to see what remains.
The panel thinks all is current now
To make sure, I did a manual check for > History of recently installed updates
apparently, they all went thru in the meantime:
So this is good, right? :)
Next, I checked whether the "Problem Resolution Service" (or whatever the correct term in English is) has come back to avaiability;
apparently, it has, too.
So it looks, like we (or rather: you) have reached success, as far as the initial trouble is concerned +
Thank You a ton for this.
One tiny issue appears to be remaining: "Windows Defender Security Center" appears to still refuse being turned back on. Should be try to tackle that - or do you deem it safe/r to reinstall my AVG suite which we had removed earlier in this exploration?
Standing by for further instructions. With best and flabberghasted regards :) - LX
