[SOLVED] Unable to run Windows Update

I really appreciate you guys being there for people like me. Unfortunately, I could not wait as this was a work PC - so I've used the 'upgrade' process (to the same version of Win7 SP1 Pro), which has fixed the windows update issue. Please close this thread. Again - thanks. Rich

[SOLVED] Unable to run Windows Update

I booted into a Windows install DVD and selected 'repair', went to a command prompt, ran: sfc /scannow \offbootdir=d:\ /offwindir=d:\windows and created a new CBS log. Unfortunately, I can't attach it to this 'reply'... nor can I edit the original post... and it is too long to paste it in here...
