Success! Removing MBAE resolved the issue. Does this indicate that KIS incorporates a similar from of protection? Many thanks.

I installed MBAE when I re-imaged their PC. It was working fine with KIS but I will remove it tomorrow and see if it resolves the issue. Thanks.

Yep. This was the first thing I did including deleting all chrome related stuff from the appdata and programdata folders. I also tried disabling and enabling IE from the windows features menu. Forgot to mention, both SFC and DISM found no errors. I have thought about uninstalling KIS 2016? I...

Hi, sorry for the delayed response - Iv'e been on holiday. I ran the IE 11 x64 offline installer which finished by automatically opening IE. The version still states 9 though?
