Thanks for the quick response. I ditched mcafee and enabled mse and firewall. Also did the checks on memory and harddrive. They both passed. I had trouble doing the verify driver thing so I just bypassed that part. The startup and general overall performance of the machine is greatly improved...

Ran both dskchk and full scan antivirus both completed no bsod. After restart this morning while typing "device manager" in search bar once again bsod. Hopefully the attachment included is from this event. It had today's date.

Some time ago I got bsod during chkdsk before it completed. Yesterday it happened at 98% of full scan antivirus. Today it happens at shutdown. I'm not a computer wiz but I ran the app for dump system files but the perfmon report said "error occurred while attempting to generate report". I will...
