I find it odd this problem ONLY occurs with files that have not been written to in 4+ weeks - even if the drive has been sitting on a shelf. It seems like there is an easy fix by forcing a defrag on the whole drive (which does slightly affect wear limits, being TLC devices), or by copying affected folders to a temp folder, then back over to the original folder. Or just wait until Samsung releases a fix. Because there has been no reported read or write errors, or data loss, I am inclined to recommend users just wait until the firmware fix comes out. After all, these only affect files the users have not accessed in a long time - so do they really need to restore full-speed access right now?
