When the program opens, it will retrieve some information regarding your system. Once it's done, select the File menu and choose Publish snapshot. Answer Yes to the confirmation message. On the next screen that comes up, choose the Copy to Clipboard button and paste this link in your next reply. (Or attach the log here, if you prefer to not publish it for some reason) System information log You should run only one of the following commands, the one you prefer. Read More: The first command is longer than the following ones, but it should always work. Hence, in case of errors with the other two commands, try the first one. Obviously, YourWinAccountFolder should be substituted with your Win Account Folder name. The following commands should be run from an elevated command prompt. How to open an elevated command prompt in ALL windows versions: click (or right-click) on Windows Start, click in the searchbox (or click Search, or start to type directly), type CMD, press and hold CTRL and SHIFT keys (on your keyboard), press enter (on your keyboard), release all the keys, click yes to UAC window (if you disabled UAC, this shouldn't appear) Code: msinfo32 /nfo "c:\users\YourWinAccountFolder\desktop\MsInfo.nfo" or msinfo32 /nfo "c:\users\%username%\desktop\MsInfo.nfo" or msinfo32 /nfo "%userprofile%\desktop\MsInfo.nfo" After you ran it, you should find the file MsInfo.nfo on your desktop: upload it here. Or you can upload the file to websites that don't require to be registered, like as an example speedyshare.com (for small files, because the download won't be so fast).

Has the "new" intel driver for that device been found by the first or the second? If the first, where did it download the driver from? And by the way, where are all the intel paths in your PATH system environment variable? That's why I thought you must reinstall the default drivers from your manufacturer. You can always update them later, when the problem hopefully will be solved.

Did you try the first (INF Update Utility) or the second (driver update util.)? By the way, I sometimes have installed the intel driver utility and it didn't find nothing until I started it as an administrator (right-click on it, run as an administrator)... Then I uninstalled it (because I didn't like to have a new service between default windows services).

I got those three links I gave you directly from your laptop manufacturer webpage. Just go to acer.com, put your model number and see if you get different results: I used the AO532h string, but you could have a more precise model number, usually under the laptop...
