On Windows Vista & 7, click on the Windows Start Menu, then enter cmd in the search box, right-click on the cmd icon and select Run as Administrator On Windows 8, drag your cursor in the bottom-left corner, and right-click on the metro menu preview, then select Command Prompt (Admin); On Windows 8.1, right click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select Command Prompt (Admin); Enter the commands below one at the time (press Enter to send it); net stop wuauserv ren %SystemRoot%\SoftwareDistribution\Download DL.bak net start wuauserv wuauclt.exe /updatenow This will trigger the Windows 10 upgrade via Windows Update. If the upgrade fails, upload the following files for me. C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log

S SeanA Well-known member Joined Aug 2, 2015 Posts 64 Aug 6, 2015 #44 OK big problem now, I can not log back into my original User Account. I have tried adding, changing, and removing password. Also tried changing name and to no avail. I seem to be stuck on this new created account. Also still can not delete the AVG folder in ProgramData, with this account.

S SeanA Well-known member Joined Aug 2, 2015 Posts 64 Aug 6, 2015 #46 Admin...Other User (original account). When I try to login with User Name and Password, says wrong name or password. I unfortunately do not remember the original owners password, hence I have tried to switch(changed name and password) to my name. But her name and apparently password is what is needed. It worked when there was only one account. Also, her name did not change within User data.

I don't recall if you tried it yet. If not, follow the instructions below and use the "Upgrade Now" option in the installer. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

I noticed I deleted that other Account, but in the Users List it is still there with a lock on it. I need to get rid of that profile, considering that most of the problems are stemming from that profile.
