Troubleshooting Windows Store Apps
I've already run into a couple of errors with Windows Store apps on this fresh install of Windows 10 Technical Preview so thought it would be helpful to accumulate a list of error codes and solutions.
1. Error codes: Troubleshooting packaging, deployment, and query of Windows Store apps (Windows)
2. Often the problem is solved with SFC. From an elevated command prompt, run System File checker: sfc /scannow.
3. Another solution is to clear the Windows Store cache:
- Type run in the search box, and then tap or click Run.
- Type wsreset.exe in the Run command and then tap or click OK.A
Note: The Windows Store will open after the cache has been cleared.
4. Although this is identified as being for Windows 8.x, the linked Apps Troubleshooter has been recommended for Windows 10: Troubleshoot problems with an app - Windows Help (Direct download link: Apps troubleshooter). Run the troubleshooter as Administrator.
