I wanted to check if there is any new updates available but it prompt me with a message that Windows Update couldn't check for updates because you must restart the computer so that a previous installation can be completed. I've previously removed KB 2952664 and KB 3035583 to permanently remove the upgrading icon and to stop it for forcing me to upgrade. Please help me... :hysterical:Capture.PNG

Hi angellingks :)

My name is Aur and I'll be assisting you with your issue. Does this message prompts again even after a restart?

Sorry for the late reply. It appears the same as the image i've sent earlier. Im unable to check any updates available.

I've install and run the GWX. Im able to check the updates now. There's a list of optional updates. Does it related to Window10? If i do not want to upgrade to window 10, should i avoid update those item line under Window7?

To check if an update is related to Windows 10, you should check it's KB article on Microsoft website. I can tell you right off the bat that the KB2952664 is a telemetry update, and KB3035583 is the "Get Windows 10 app" (which you want to avoid from what I can see).

No problem angellingks, you're welcome :)
