[SOLVED] YAWServer - WS2019 - Package KB5018419 failed to be changed to the Installed state. Status: 0x80073712.

It was good - and now it isn't.
Current CBS and DISM logs attached.
Hoping you can walk through some form of permanent fix.

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.


Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

Please attempt to install KB5018419 and let me know the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
 
I was hopeful - Initiating changes for package KB5018419. Current state is Absent. Target state is Installed. Client id: UpdateAgentLCU.

But then, no joy - Package KB5018419 failed to be changed to the Installed state. Status: 0x80073712.

Not sure what you did, but the update has been running for 45 minutes.

Need to get to the post office before it closes, will update when I get back.

Hi,

I've just provide a fix to replace a corrupt catalog file, like the previous fixes? Please don't stop Windows Update, but wait until it fails and post a new copy of the CBS log. Don't perform any 'forced' restarts or something like that...
 
Patience, in this case seems to have paid off (75 minutes later):
A reboot is necessary before package KB5018419 can be changed to the Installed state.

The latest CBS log is clean, So hopefully KB5018419 can be installed without any issues..
